Ingredients

  • 6 each Kayem Beef Skinless Hot Dogs
  • 6 each Split Top Hot Dog Rolls
  • Pineapple Chutney -- ---
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 each Red Onion, diced small
  • 1/2 each Red Bell Pepper, diced small
  • 2 each Garlic Cloves
  • 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 cups Pineapple, diced small
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, Fresh, grated
  • 1/2 each  Jalapeno, seeds removed, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • Pinch Salt

Method of Preparation

Pineapple Chutney Dog - Step 1

Step 1

In a saucepan over medium heat, add oil, onion, bell pepper, and garlic.

 

Cook until the vegetables are soft.

Add the vinegar and honey. Cook down until the liquid is reduced.

Step 3

Add the pineapple, ginger, jalapeno, mustard seeds, and red chili flakes.

 

Simmer until the pineapple has softened and all the liquid has been evaporated.

Remove from heat, add in a pinch of salt, and cool to room temperature.

Cook hot dogs to your liking and build on a split top hot dog roll with pineapple chutney. Enjoy!
