Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup Cake Flour
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- Pinch Salt
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 1/2 cup Canola Oil
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1/3 cup Milk
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Maple Flavoring
- Maple Icing: -- ---
- 1 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 3 tbsp Milk
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Maple Flavoring
- Garnish: Maple Sprinkles
Method of Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a donut pan with pan spray.
Step 2
In a bowl combine the flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices. Set aside.
Step 3
In another bowl whisk together the oil, brown sugar, eggs, pumpkin, milk, and extracts.
Step 4
Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Do not overmix.
Step 5
Either spoon or pipe the batter into the donut pans.
Bake for 12-14 minutes. Let the donuts sit in the donut pans for 5 minutes before cooling completely on a rack.
Step 6
In a small bowl mix together the maple icing ingredients until smooth.
Step 7
Dip the cooled donuts into the maple glaze.
Garnish with maple sprinkles and enjoy!
