Ingredients
- 2 sheets Puff Pastry
- 1/3 cup Strawberry Jam
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- Icing: ---
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
Method of Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Unroll the two pastry sheets and slightly flatten to make smooth.
Step 3
Use a ghost cookie cutter to cut out the pies. Make sure there is an even number of ghosts.
Step 4
To half of the ghosts, use a small piping tip to cut out the two eyes and the mouth.
Step 5
Transfer the ghosts with no holes to the baking sheet.
Spoon about 2 tsp of jam into the middle of the ghost.
Step 6
Lightly brush some milk around the edges.
Lay the cut-out ghost on top and crimp the edges together using a fork.
Step 7
Brush the top with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 8
In a small bowl mix together the vanilla extract and powdered sugar until runny.
Step 9
Cool the ghosts completely on a wire rack.
Paint or drizzle the glaze over the tops of the ghost.
